Home Community Service and Volunteer Project

This is our fifth year helping students. We offer internships for college students and service credits for children in public and private schools. Some past student-completed projects include food drives, book drives, grant research, hunger awareness workshops, kids concerts, mall runs, neighborhood cleanup, helping at the pantry and garden programs!  Call for details

COMMUNITY SERVICE AND VOLUNTEER PROJECT:

Since its inception, more than  937 volunteers have provided services to New Direction Services.

Volunteers come to New Direction Services from all walks of life including the following:

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, RSVP, SCORE, Wagner College, City University of New York, Police Department, public schools, corporations, and foundations.

Our community services project continues to give students from public and private schools the necessary experiences they need to meet the requirements for graduation.

We match students with the right charity project in the field that they are interested in.  At the end of their service experience, students receive a certificate of completion.

To participate in this program, please contact our community service director at 718-447-3786
